Dr. Ty Partridge
Lab Director

Collaborators

Dr. Partridge is an associate professor in the Department of Psychology Wayne State University and the director of the Research, Design, and Analysis Unit at Wayne State University.  His research interests include the influence of urban poverty on early childhood development, adolescent risk behaviors, developmental psychobiology, emotion regulation, early childhood literacy, longitudinal methods, complex adaptive systems, and relational developmental systems theory.
Dr. Partridge also has over 20 years of experience in community-based research, public health and prevention interventions, and evaluation research.

Dr. Kendall Soucie is a leading researcher in the areas of narrative identity development and how individuals create meaning from challenging life experiences. She and her lab are applying this research framework to elucidate and give voice to the experiences of women's challenges with the health care system, particularly diagnosis and treatment of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

Graduate Students

Lama Ayoub​
Lama is a doctoral student in developmental psychology at Wayne State University. She is also a fellow at the Merrill Palmer Skillman Institute. Lama is interested in community-based research focused on childhood violence and adversity. Lama has a Master’s of Science in Public Health from Harvard University and a bachelor’s of science from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Isabella Warmbrunn
Isabella graduated from WSU in December of 2018 and is currently in the Masters of Basic Medical Science program at Wayne State.  She plans on attending medical school and pursuing a career in medicine. 

Undergraduate Students

Habeba Elmadawy

Meghan Frazho
Meghan is in her Sophomore year at Wayne State. She is double majoring in both psychology and sociology. Her research interests include early childhood development, adolescent mental health, and just about anything related to the field. Meghan plans to finish her undergraduate degree and attend Graduate school in hopes of getting her Master's degree and maybe even a Ph.D. in the future.

Haley Hicks
Haley is currently a freshman at Wayne State University, where she is pursuing a double major in psychology and sociology. Her research interests involve childhood and adolescent mental health, as well as development relating to culture and community. Haley hopes to further explore this research and eventually pursue a Ph.D. in social psychology.

Caitlin Mathew
Caitlin is in her sophomore year at Wayne State University. She is majoring in psychology and minoring in biology. Her research interests include anything in the realm of abnormal psychology and early childhood development. Caitlin is pursuing her undergraduate degree in hopes to attend medical school.

Ifrah graduated in 2019 with a degree in Political Science.




Ashley Strand
Ashley graduated in 2019 with honors and a double major in Psychology and Spanish.  She will be attending the University of Illinois @ Chicago to pursue a career in occupational therapy. 

Vivien Okechukwu
Vivien graduated in 2018 with honors and a degree in Psychology. She just completed her M.A. in Anatomy from Tulane and is planning on attending medical school.
